Working with data

Data are entered as x, y pairs, one pair per line. Any number of spaces can be used between the x and y values.

When a blank document is opened with the New Document option on the My Documents page a file name must be entered.

For a previously entered file details are provided including the titles for the x and y axes, and the date that the file was last modified.

The action buttom provides options to Email and Print and Save the input data.

The average button caclulates the average. For each set of x, y pairs that have the same x value, the y value will be averaged.

The baseline correction button subtracts the minimum y value for all the y values.

The normalize button divides all the y values by the ymax value.

The format button provides options to change the number of decimal places and alter the text size of the data and x and y labels.

The Edit button toggles between data entry and line editting modes. See the lower image on the right. Rows can be deleted or moved. Extra rows can also be added.

The plot button graphics the data as a prelude to regression analysis.

The My Documents button returns to the startup documents page.
